As Amsterdam residents we wanted to bring a local story to a global audience, by co-producing a cinematic short film with production company Mr. Frank.

The film explores music culture in ‘Bims’, the most ethnically diverse neighbourhood in Amsterdam, and celebrates its creativity and unique sounds at a time when the neighbourhood faces extreme gentrification.

Working alongside youth culture publisher Boiler Room and Amsterdam-based venue Melkweg, ther film premiered as part of ADE’s music film program. Since then many of the community featured in the docmentary have gone on to find national and international success.
